David's Bio:

David T. Chastain is a vital and talented axe wielder currently based in Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as varying between progressive metal, fusion, rock and world music, as a listener can readily appreciate on his most recent album, "Rock Solid Guitar". His most utilized guitars include a Kramer Pacer and a Cheap Yamaha Electric. Chastain has been playing guitar since 1969, and without beating around the bush discloses his career aspiration, "To continue to put out CDs I am proud of, with no interest in commercial acceptance. Helping other artists thru Leviathan Records."
When prompted to divulge his ultimate effect for the guitar, Chastain responded by saying, "Art SGE MACH II," and continued by citing his musicial goals, "To play what I love." He eagerly hopes to one day study classical music composition for orchestra, and is presently listening to Joe Stump-"Rapid Fire Rondo", Kenziner-"Timescape", Magnitude 9-"The End of Time", old Allan Holdsworth and old live Stevie Ray Vaughan. His principal fulfillment? "First and foremost - fan mail. Also the demo versions of the instrumentals and the chills that some of the vocalists I produce give me in the studio," he declares without a doubt.

Chastain wraps up by mentioning current and approaching undertakings enthusiastically, by saying, "Most of my day is taken up by Leviathan Records. Nights are for music composition. Currently working on a new Chastain, instrumental and as yet unnamed musical project."

Guitar Nine Records visitors have compared the playing style and/or musical approach of David T. Chastain to guitarists such as Michael Harris and others.
